Volvo Truck and Bus East Anglia has specified a Stertil Koni Skylift for the wash bay at its new £6m facility in Wellingborough.
The Sky-200 is fabricated from galvanised steel and its hydraulic system is electronically controlled using inclinometers to synchronise the four lifting points and monitor vehicle weight distribution.
The Volvo facility selected the Skylift partly because it has a 20-tonne lifting capacity and a low drive-on height of 350mm, but also because it gives easy access to raised vehicles – as it has no cross beams or posts.
The Sky-200 is already in use by Volvo depots in Norwich and Ely. The Wellingborough dealership opened in December 2013 and has five service bays, modern workshop facilities and equipment, plus a RoadCrew solutions shop.
