Bus operator First Cymru has returned to Stertil Koni for a new washbay lift to replace an older lift at its Port Talbot depot.
The new Skylift 200 has a lifting capacity of 20 tonnes and is made from galvanised steel for durability and water resistance. Its electronically controlled hydraulic system uses inclinometers to monitor vehicle weight displacement, providing smooth synchronisation between the four lifting points.
The Skylift’s 8m platform can accommodate any vehicle in First Cymru’s 200-strong fleet, of which 92 operate from this depot, and Stertil Koni added extra long run-ups for easier manoeuvring of low-floor buses.
