Under its EffiTires agreement, Michelin manages tyres for the operator's 8,800-strong fleet on a price-per-kilometre basis.
Michelin's technicians (called fleet operators) are based in each of Stagecoach's 100 major bus garages across the UK, where they prepare wheel and tyre assemblies, and monitor tyre pressures.
Michelin also provides Stagecoach with detailed tyre reporting following each fleet-wide tyre safety inspection, producing management information which is shared with the engineering teams in each garage.
