While the business offers vehicles from a range of manufacturers, it wanted one consistent system across the 300-strong fleet, as sales director Dave Emsley explains: “Each manufacturer offers their own telematics system with the purchase of a vehicle, however we felt we needed a system that could be deployed across our whole fleet, offering a uniform and efficient service for our customers.”
Customers can now monitor the performance of vehicles through CANbus technology and wirelessly download their tachographs from Verilocation, providing regular and accurate vehicle and driver information.
“We provide our customers with unique log-in details for their own fleet hired through our company,” adds Emsley.
“Rental customers then have direct access to their contracted vehicles, which keeps them up to speed on a range of important data, including maintenance schedules, vehicle movements, fuel consumption and efficiency, driver behaviour and tacho analysis.”
