Street cleaning hire firm UBU Environmental has extended its Ctrack tracking system to cover an additional 40 specialist vehicles.
The system now tracks the majority of UBU's fleet including road sweepers, high-pressure road jetters, pedestrian precinct sweepers and gully wagons, and the organisation says it is improving performance and asset utilisation.
UBU Environmental director Eddie Murphy says that the extended system provides live and historical data, covering the location and status of all its vehicles.
It gives complete visibility of the hire fleet –via wall-mounted and computer screens at its operations centre in Manchester – and also helps to resolve customer queries,
"The Ctrack system gives us that added visibility and control over our resources to best utilise our assets and workforce," comments Murphy.
"We have established a reputation for a high quality service across the North West by taking advantage of the latest fleet technology to boost our performance and customer response," he adds.
