Three Volvo Trucks technicians have reached the semi-finals of the WorldSkills UK Heavy Vehicle Technicians Competition.
The Volvo trio will line up with 15 other semi-finalists in Loughborough, in July.
They are: Stuart Burkat, from Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London (Enfield); Ryan Sturgess, of Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London (Croydon); and James Wade from MC Truck and Bus, of Hythe, Kent.
The semi-finals comprise six tasks and may include assessment of any of the following: engine electrical systems, engine mechanical systems, steering and suspension, transmission systems, braking systems and vehicle inspections.
After completion of these tasks, the top six candidates will progress to the final, which will be held during the WorldSkills UK LIVE Show (15-17 November; NEC, Birmingham).
