Braking systems supplier Wabco has been approached by ZF Friedrichshafen regarding a takeover.
The confirmation came this week, with Brussels-based Wabco issuing a statement to say it had “engaged in preliminary discussions concerning a potential transaction”.
Wabco added that it will not comment further until “further disclosure is required”.
Yesterday (28 February), ZF confirmed it had held takeover discussions with Wabco, but that "there are no decisions", according to a Reuters news report.
