Scotland-based waste removal firm WM Hamilton & Sons is to receive new tyres as part of an extended contract with Continental tyre service provider R&J Strang.
Based near Larkhall, WM Hamilton runs a fleet of 70 trucks comprising of a range of tractors, trailers, tippers, tankers and integrated sweeping units.
The move sees WM Hamilton utilise a combination of new Continental tyres and ContiRe retread tyres across its fleet.
As part of the deal, R&J Strang is providing a dedicated on-site tyre fitter. Each vehicle is checked daily, with tyre pressures monitored and replaced when required.
David Hamilton, director of WM Hamilton & Sons, said: “If we get a roadside breakdown, we can depend on R&J Strang to get out to the scene quickly. Our drivers are able to get in touch with them directly and a technician is dispatched.”
