Motor Wheel Service has launched its next generation Xbrite, positioning it as an advanced single part, transparent finish coating for Xlite forged aluminium wheels that offers ultra-high corrosion resistance and shine.
John Ellis, managing director of Motor Wheel Service, describes it as a non-chromate and environmentally friendly coating, has says it passed oxidation and salt spray tests and possesses "excellent adhesion properties for a strong coat finish".
According to Ellis, this generation Xbrite has been two years in development. "I state confidently that both the corrosion resistance and the extra bright appearance are the best on the market," he says.
Xlite wheels, which are claimed to be five times stronger and 40% lighter than the standard steel equivalent, are forged from a single aluminium billet, using a CNC machine for ultra-high tolerance. They are available in 17.5in, 19.5in and 22.5in sizes.
The product is offered with three finishes – machined, polished and now also Xbrite.
