The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has uploaded a video that shows the checks that drivers need to carry out for a lorry or heavy goods vehicle daily walkaround check.
On the outside of the vehicle, drivers should check the bumper, numberplates, mirrors, wipers, battery, fuel cap and exhaust stack pipe. Once inside the cab, drivers should check there are no cracks in the windscreen and ensure that the driver seat is in position and secure.
