The Society of Operations Engineers (SOE) Executive Director Emma Thompson MSOE was interviewed at the recent Microlise Transport Conference.
The 2025 event was the biggest yet with more than 1,000 delegates from across the country descending on the Coventry Building Society Arena in late March.
On the sidelines of the Microlise Transport Conference, Emma Thompson, Executive Director of the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE) spoke to Georgie Green in the Transport Engineer studio.
During her interview, Emma discussed the focuses of the IRTE, which is the professional sector of the SOE, the skills shortages in road transport and engineering, and the latest initiatives run by the IRTE/SOE, like the new CPD platform.
