The organisers say that the free-to-attend conference, which attracted more than 1,200 delegates in 2017, will build further on its innovation and technology focus, offering insight on the industry’s big topics from platooning and alternative fuels; to skills, compliance and inevitably, the effects on the industry of Brexit.
The programme will feature an even stronger speaker line-up, three focused workshops and an all new innovation zone. The conference will again be supported by a sizable exhibition area featuring prominent transport brands, alongside innovators, industry organisations and other special guests.
“It has been great to see the Microlise Transport Conference grow in stature and importance,” said Nadeem Raza, Chief Executive Officer, Microlise. “We began in our board room with 20 friendly faces just less than a decade ago and have watched as the event has grown tremendously. It’s now become a key industry event where the bonds of collaboration and cooperation are fused, and the key issues discussed and debated.”
Alongside the conference, the Microlise Driver of the Year Awards will again celebrate the UK’s most talented HGV drivers, both through analysis of more than 180,000 drivers’ telematics data, and via industry nominated categories. The nominated categories include HGV Hero, Lifetime Achievement, Extra Mile, Most Improved and Young Driver of the Year.
