It is possible for the wiring harness in the main switch panel to chafe on a bracket cut-out, which could result in a short to earth. If a short circuit occurs, it could result in the loss of various electrical systems. In the worst case, the engine could cut out. Reference: R/2017/239. Number affected: 143. The battery supply line for the engine electrical system may be incorrectly routed and could result in a short circuit. This will produce a thermal overload of the battery line and melting of the protective sheath may occur.
