Bridgestone highlights ROI potential of FleetPulse

Bridgestone is reminding operators that they can achieve reduced downtime, improved visibility of vehicle condition and fewer potentially dangerous breakdowns with its FleetPulse fleet management solution.

Launched in September last year at the IAA Commercial Vehicle event, FleetPulse is said to be the only solution on the market to combine vehicle checks, booking services, fleet management and TPMS in a single platform, while enabling real-time communication between drivers, technicians and fleet managers via the cloud.

FleetPulse can be used by any driver, across all vehicle and tyre brands, and is available on Android devices.

Key features include: vehicle checklists, for logging defects together with comments and photos; vehicle management for real-time vehicle status; service bookings, which enables fleet managers to book workshop or servicing appointments through the online dashboard; and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

The TPMS comprises Tirematics sensors and a dongle. FleetPulse collects tyre pressure data and relays this to drivers and managers through the app and online dashboard.

Bridgestone says the sensors can be fitted very easy to each tyre, have three-year battery life and fit all commercial tyre brands.

The tyre maker says that the benefits of TPMS alone could enable operators to recoup their investment in FleetPulse within one year, given its calculation that a typical tractor and trailer combination running at optimal tyre pressure would save on average £950 on fuel, tyre and breakdown costs.
