Mercedes-Benz Vito is pump primed for Camfaud15 June 2012

Britain's largest, privately-owned pumping company Camfaud has added to its fleet of Mercedes-Benz vehicles with the addition of a long-bodied Vito 113CDI.

Supplied by S&B Commercials, this Vito joins two 111CDIs from the previous Vitos range.

Specified with optional air conditioning, the new arrival is also fitted with a tow bar and additional rear lighting, while the back doors are finished with high visibility marking strips that meet Chapter 8 Highways Maintenance rules.

Like Camfaud's other vans, it is also fitted with a vehicle tracking system that allows the company to keep its customers updated on arrival times, as well as helping to deter thieves.

"Ours is a time-critical business so we need equipment that won't let us down," explains Camfaud director Peter Faud.

"We choose Mercedes-Benz's truck chassis because they have proved over time to be man enough for the job, and the same is true of our vans."

The Euro 5 Vito 113CDI is powered by a 2.1-litre, four-cylinder engine that produces 136bhp and 310Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the road via a smooth and flexible six-speed manual gearbox called ECO-Gear, which helps to maximise fuel economy.
