TMD Friction acquires Aequita26 January 2024

TMD Friction is to accelerate its recovery plan through the acquisition of Aequita, a privately owned industrial group based in Munich.

David Baines, CEO of TMD Friction, said: “Over the past three months, we have been working closely with AEQUITA to prepare for this day. Together, we will accelerate TMD’s ongoing transformation, expanding TMD’s position as a trusted supplier of brake friction solutions to leading OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and the international independent aftermarket.”

The management team of TMD Friction will be complemented by Robert Roiger, partner at Aequita, as Co-CEO.
