We are currently recruiting for a dynamic forward thinking, motivated Depot Engineering Manager to manage our Livingston and Musselburgh engineering function and to guide these depots through a period of transformation and improvement as part of our Better Journeys for Life promise to our customers.
The role
Working closely with the Fleet Engineer, and Business Manager you'd be responsible for all engineering aspects within Livingston and Musselburgh depots including the depot workshop and vehicles, to ensure safe, punctual, reliable and cost effective delivery of services through effective maintenance and repair of the fleet.
If you've a passion for engineering with the leadership qualities to deliver plans and budgets, including agreed level of fleet and facilities whilst supporting colleagues to deliver a programme of change then we would love to hear from you.
You must have a focus on service delivery and ideally you'd have technical engineering experience ideally related to bus and coach fleet maintenance with the ability to control expenditure within a strict budget control.
Membership of an appropriate professional body (e.g. IRTE) will be advantageous. You should also have a full driving licence and possess a recognised engineering qualification.
