Tower Transit Operations Limited is a part of the Transit Systems Group based in Australia. The new London based business was established in 2013 and employs over 1600 staff across three sites and operates 420 buses. Westbourne Park Bus Garage has recently been shortlisted in the Best Vehicle Care category for the London Bus Awards 2014 and the company has entered three teams in the forthcoming IRTE Skills Challenge. A new vacancy now exists for a Diagnostic Technician whose primary role is to investigate and diagnose vehicle faults, effecting repairs or recommending the repair action and time required. You will need to be an effective communicator who is able and willing to share their knowledge and help develop the existing engineering team. You must also demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement with a 'right first time' philosophy to vehicle maintenance and repairs. The successful candidate will have an NVQ or City and Guilds Level 3 and ideally will have a PCV License. They will need to quickly build good working relationships with the existing teams and be flexible about hours and location of work. We are looking for a competent engineer, able to demonstrate a commitment to Health and Safety and develop existing staff. Additionally, you may be asked to cover the Engineering Supervisor so previous management experience would be beneficial. This is a monthly paid position attracting an annual salary of circa £40k, you will also benefit from 25 days holiday and a travel pass for London Buses and underground.
