ENGINEERING MANAGER – BUS ENGINEERING circa £45,000

Bus Engineering monitors and maintains the compliance of 18 bus operators running around 8,700 buses, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. The role You'll work closely with senior management within the bus companies to ensure the highest engineering standards, rectify problems and improve performance. Key tasks will include managing bus fleet initiatives, demonstrating new vehicles and technologies and presenting Engineering Quality Monitoring reports. You'll also carry out in-depth analyses of inspection data to identify patterns and trends. Building effective relationships at garage and senior management level will be crucial to your success. What you'll need Your background in bus engineering or a related area will be supported by a CPC or NVQ Level 4 in Motor Vehicle Technology. Proven leadership, communication and negotiation skills will include the ability to manage contractors and make persuasive presentations. A strong grasp of project management and reporting tools, a good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and an aptitude for statistical analysis and interpretation will also be important.
