Transport for Greater Manchester is responsible for implementing local transport policy across the conurbation. Transport policies that affect the ten districts of Greater Manchester are set by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and its Transport for Greater Manchester Committee.
Transport for Greater Manchester is the delivery arm for the elected body, responsible for improving transport services and facilities, supporting the largest regional economy outside London. We currently have a vacancy for an experienced individual in fleet management with detailed knowledge of current vehicle legislation and preparation and monitoring of annual maintenance programmes/schedules. We're looking for an experienced individual with proven track record of creating, developing and implementing effective strategies, policies and plans to reflect strategic requirements. You will also have experience of financial control and budgetary management together with the knowledge of IT based fleet management systems. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working at a senior level with external organisations, stakeholders, local authorities, and consultants. You must have the ability to formulate clear briefs as well as preparing clear, concise and well-structured reports including statistical analysis for a variety of audiences. Lastly, you should be educated, degree level or equivalent and be a CPC holder (Certificate Professional Competence).
