Agenda for Change Band 6 - £25,783 - £34,530 pro rata per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a short-term secondment within the Fleet Management Team where we operate a fleet of over 550 vehicles including around 450 operational vehicles which are subject to stringent planned preventative maintenance programmes alongside the requirement to carry out other maintenance and repairs. This work is carried out by our in-house maintenance teams at Pallion and Stockton.
The role is based at Pallion and would ideally be suited to someone with experience of operating at a senior level within a vehicle workshop environment and experience of managing a busy vehicle workshop and parts department.
The role requires high levels of planning skills, good inter-personal skills, budgetary management and the ability to lead a team of around 25 staff. Attendance at meetings and routine visits to both HQ and the Stockton workshop facility will also be required.
The successful candidate must have Engineering qualifications to City and Guilds Part 4 and or HND Level, a professional engineering qualification, such as Society of Operations Engineers (SOE), Institute of Road Transport Engineers (IRTE) or The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) and a qualified Authorised Examiner (AE) for a Vehicle Inspectorate MOT Testing Station.
