We are looking for two Vehicle Air Conditioning & Heating Engineers to work within a team of Skilled Engineers, to provide the maintenance for all the Bus Air Conditioning & Heating / Cooling Systems in line with manufactures specifications. Working within the Engineering Area you must comply fully with the company Health and Safety policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximise personal performance to ensure you work efficiently and effectively throughout your shift.
- Ensure you deliver a high standard of vehicle care to your customer, the Operations Team and Transport for London.
- Carry out duties allocated to you by the Engineering Supervisory Team ensuring you meet the required deadlines.
- Diagnose any possible faults with the Vehicles Heating, Cooling or Air Con Systems and determine the best and most effective solutions for repair and maintenance.
- Proactively contribute to the team performance to ensure vehicles are maintained to high standards, driver road calls are responded to promptly, and that the vehicle always looks neat and tidy.
- Correctly book out any parts required to carry out your maintenance role.
- Always ensure that you adhere to the company Health and Safety procedures in relation to working in the Engineering Department and the wearing of protective equipment.
Knowledge and Skills
A flexibility of working hours is essential as shift and weekend work may be a feature of this role. It is a preference that you have an F-Gas qualification, but not essential as full training can be given. A practical thinker with an eye for detail is essential as is an engineering awareness / familiarity with vehicle component parts. We are looking for someone with experience of using and administrating a computerised parts system.
