The dedicated dual-fuel diesel and LNG refuelling station at Asda Logistics Services was opened last year at the chill distribution centre in Avonmouth, near Bristol.
The station incorporates BOC's 'zero loss' refuelling technology, which uses cryogenic cooling to temperature-condition the LNG fuel just prior to dispensing.
To date, the dual-fuel station has been supporting the supermarket chain's fleet of 52 dual-fuel Volvo trucks under its sustainability strategy, which is targeting emissions reductions of 60% from its transport fleet against 2005 by this year.
