An investment by drinks distribution company Nectar in two 7.5-tonne trucks represents the sale of the first fast-access curtain slider bodies from the Bevan Group.
Following the acquisition of PG Reeves, Bevan was able to offer the option of front to back tensioning, as the former already had the product in its portfolio.
Mounted on an Isuzu chassis, the curtains are tensioned front to back for ease of access and speed of operation. The efficiency of the vehicle is also aided by Bevan's body being based on an alloy frame construction with aluminium side raves, making it lighter, so also allowing for higher payloads.
Bevan says it has recognised that this configuration is especially popular for operators that run multi-drop applications – and will now be looking to introduce similar curtainsiders in the future for a range of clients, such as Coca-Cola.
