ContiTech, has launched a new generation of air springs that pick up on the trend towards weight reduction on commercial vehicles.
"At the very least, they equal conventional air springs in quality and performance," states Diethelm Bauch, head of the commercial vehicle OEM segment at ContiTech Air Spring Systems.
Bauch says that ContiTech's lightweight technology dramatically reduces the weight of air spring systems, while also making them more corrosion-resistant and durable, due to the use of plastic components.
"The new generation of lightweight air springs marks a significant technological advance. It represents a sustainable increase in performance," asserts Bauch.
