Edbro has boosted the maximum load of its CX range of combined ram and tank tipping cylinders from 32 tonnes to 52 tonnes, in a move aimed at extending the product's global appeal.
Edbro, part of the Jost group, designed its CX hydraulic tipping gear originally for the UK market. Its combined ram and tank design cuts the overall weight for rigid trucks and, says the company, also reduces installation time.
The firm's CX15 and CX13 cylinders are now available with the enhanced capacities. An extended version of the CX11 is expected to be launched sometime in the next few months.
Stroke lengths of the cylinders remain the same but the operating pressures have been increased to improve the tipping gear's capacity by as much as 40%.
