If you want a chance to drive an electric commercial vehicle, and find out more about their operation and engineering, Smith Electric Vehicles is holding an open day in Tyne & Wear later this month.
The event is designed to give fleet managers in North East England first-hand experience, and help them form decisions about what electric additions, if any, could be made to their operation to help cut costs and CO2 output and improve efficiency.
A major part of the day will be a workshop on battery-powered vans and trucks, co-hosted by Smith Electric Vehicles and training, consultancy and outsourcing company NAC Group.
This workshop is part of the Growth Project Logistics 2 programme, which helps North East companies adopt new technologies to become greener.
The open day takes place on Thursday November 25, from 9am to 1pm, and includes a tour of the production line and the chance to quiz fleet tracking system suppliers.
Places are limited to two per company and must be booked in advance. To reserve a place, visit www.growthlogistics2.co.uk/events
