Fiat aims to cash in with new Talento

Fiat Professional has released early details of its new light commercial vehicle, called the Talento.

Named after an ancient coin, the new model sits between the Doblò Cargo and Ducato, and is offered with a range of turbo and twin-turbo diesel engines, delivering up to 145bhp, along with a six-speed manual transmission.

Body styles will include vans, crew cabs, flatbeds and people carriers

From a design standpoint, the new Talento is compact and well-proportioned: the squared-off rear end, says Fiat, allows for ample inner space and a high load capacity.

The vehicle will be available from May and Fiat promises more details on specification and pricing nearer the launch.
