Fiat Professional is reporting an increase of 70% in its UK sales last year, outpacing growth in the UK light commercial vehicle (LCV) market and its rivals.
As a result, its market share has almost tripled from 1.5% to 4.4%. The company also says that if other vehicles are factored in, such as those classified as passenger cars and Ducato vans with a gvw of four tonnes, then market share is 5.1% -- its largest ever for LCVs in the UK.
Despite no all-new models being introduced in 2013, Fiat sold more than 13,500 vehicles and moved up to 8th place in the LCV rankings.
