Goodyear is rolling-out an improved version of its eCasing web-based commercial vehicle tyre casing management system, which, it says will help fleets and dealers get the right choice of retread tyres, faster and easier.
The new version continues to offer faclities such as Customer Owned Casing, Casing Exchange, Casing Purchase and Casing Bank, but with greater visibility, traceability and more up to date information – due to its incorporation into the new Goodyear eBusiness B2B platform.
Starting now, the new eCasing version will be introduced first in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg and then rolled-out across Europe.
The upgraded eCasing system will enable Goodyear customers to choose retread designs on-line, helped by a new picture library and user guidance, plus online tracking of customer owned casings and casing exchange flows.
Goodyear says this is the first of several improvements being introduced this year. The company also plans to upgrade its fleet management system Fleet Online Solutions (FOS), and the new eCasing system will be an integral application within FOS Next Generation.
