GT Radial is building up its GAR820 regional all-position pattern tyre, aimed at medium sized trucks.
Initially available in 215/75R17.5, the brand has added 205/75R17.5 and 225/75R17.5, with 235/75R17.5 and 245/70R17.5 currently in development and due for release later in the year.
The GAR820, which is M&S rated for all-season traction, has been designed to respond to the requirements of modern medium sized trucks, according to Peter Foulkes, marketing director Europe at Giti Tire, who says that operators are looking for comfort, low noise, good wet grip and handling.
"The GAR820 has been very well received in the marketplace and feedback from operators has been nothing short of exceptional, with the tyre's price-per-kilometre coming in for particular praise," he comments.
"The new sizes have been in demand since the initial tyre was commercially launched in the latter half of 2012, and we expect the uptake to be quick as we continue to establish ourselves at the top of the mid-tier range tyre sector," adds Foulkes.
