Kitchen furniture business Direct Online Services (DOS) is taking delivery of six more Renault Master vans, after a trial of one vehicle since January this year resulted in 7% improved fuel consumption.
Supplied by dealer Renault Trucks South West, the Renault Master 125.35 P-Cab Loloaders are additions to the Gloucester-based operator's 14-strong Iveco and Ford fleet.
As well as better fuel economy, the vehicle's load area and capacity were key factors in the decision.
"We've been really impressed by our first Renault Master, and in particular the size of the load area and weight-carrying capacity," confirms Phil Allright, DOS logistics and operations director.
"With our other vehicles, we typically get 800—900kg, but with the Renault Master we're getting over 1,240kg, which is obviously great news."
The Renault Masters will be used for multi-drop deliveries across the UK to business users and kitchen fitters, as well as home deliveries.
