Two of its latest orders are from Scottish operators, Cumnock-based T French & Son and JW Morrison of Strathaven.
T French & Son has taken delivery of two Volvo FH 8x4 tippers, its first vehicles to be equipped with Hyva tipping gear.
In use on long-distance agricultural work, the vehicles feature Wilcox bulker bodies, 420bhp 13-litre engines and Alcoa wheels.
“Hyva’s separate ram and tank FCA137 design is a generation ahead of any eight-wheeler tipping gear that we’ve had before,” says Tom French Jnr.
“It’s lighter, less complicated, easier to maintain and also lets us put the oil tank pretty much where we want,” he adds. “While we need the big FH cabs for long-distance work, we also specced these trucks to be as light as is practically possible, so the Hyva’s reduced weight is obviously appreciated.”
JW Morrison’s latest delivery is a Wilcox MegaLite trailer and Renault tag axle tractor. The operator is a long-term user of Hyva tipping gear in its fleet of 20 artics and three rigids, choosing it for low weight, performance and reliability.“From our lengthy experience with Hyva, there’s simply no reason to choose any other tipping gear,” says company owner Joe Morrison.
