MAN aftermarket price cuts programme proving popular

MAN Truck & Bus UK says parts sales are "showing steady improvement" since launching its 'Valueline' parts programme in March.
Andrew Taylor, head of UK parts, says that the programme is aimed at repositioning its parts for the aftermarket, with lower costs on around 60 of MAN's fastest moving lines. This range will expand and costs will be revised as MAN analyses the market and adjusts prices in line with, and even ahead of, market trends, he adds. Taylor also makes the point that customers are getting genuine MAN replacement parts engineered specifically for MAN trucks, "meaning they fit precisely, first time, every time". "This is a genuine commitment to our customers, and not a stop-gap measure. We're serious about our parts business," says Taylor. "Our precision run warehouse, 17,000 parts lines, and on average 6,900 parts delivered daily across the network is testament to that. "We know this is an ultra-competitive market, and we fully appreciate that many operators see fast-moving parts merely as a price-driven entity. This is often a false economy, however, and an MAN genuine part can, in many cases and quite simply, last longer."
