MC Rental builds professional accreditations

Truck hire business MC Rental says it is underlining its commitment to the construction and utilities sectors by achieving several business accreditations.

It now holds the Safety Scheme in Partnership (SSIP) accreditation, to the PAS91 standard, with external verification carried out by Construction Health and Safety.

This nationwide scheme, says MC Rental, reassures all customers that it is financially responsible and fully compliant with health and safety legislation.

The rental firm has also completed two separate two-day audits for Achilles, which checks supply chain performance and compliance, for the UVDB (utility industry qualification) and Building Construction communities.

Dave Hutchins, sales director at MC Rental, says: “Our customers need to ensure that their suppliers are financially viable, well governed and have the organisational capability to work safely on their behalf. We are continuing to work towards additional professional accreditations to build even further confidence in MC’s valued existing and prospective customer base.”

MC Rental’s 3,400-strong fleet ranges from vans to temperature-controlled rigids, construction vehicles and 44-tonne PTO equipped tractor units.
