Alltruck has become the first contract hire and rental company in the UK to introduce TruckWeigh to its commercial vehicle rental fleet.
The first Alltruck vehicle to feature the overload protection system is a Mercedes Benz Actros – the technology being fitted by PM Onboard, a brand of Vishay Precision Group, before delivery to its customer.
Alltruck introduced VanWeigh onto its fleet at the beginning of the year, and the system has since been rolled out across its 20 LCVs.
As the company's overall vehicle fleet of some 1,500 units comprises predominantly 18-tonne trucks and above, there is great potential for TruckWeigh to follow the same path.
