The double-deck Enviro400 MMC vehicles were chosen to give premium coach-like comfort with high passenger capacity.
The 11.5m, 82-seaters have wood effect flooring, leather seats, safety belts, USB chargers, tinted windows, air chillers and driver’s air-con. They also have LED lights under the seats, CCTV systems, metallic paint and alloy wheels.
David West, managing director of the Wimbedon-based operator, explains the choice: “We live in an age when people are used to luxury cars and expect nothing but the best. That applies to schoolchildren as much as corporate clients – but, in the former’s case, they tend to travel in bigger numbers.
“Matching capacity and comfort was therefore critical… and I believe we have struck the perfect balance.”
The new vehicles are also fully compliant with London’s ultra-low emission zone requirements.
