Renault’s EasyMix Concrete deal sets the standard

Concrete delivery company, EasyMix Concrete, has added two Renault Premium Lander 270.18 4x2 chassis cabs fitted with a midlift axle, giving a 6X2 configuration, and 2 Renault Kerax 380.32 8x4s to its fleet.
The company currently operates a mixed fleet of 18 vehicles, but a further two Kerax models are on order from Renault Trucks Chiltern. According to EasyMix Concrete, an important factor in the purchase decision was the chassis specification of the Kerax and Lander and the first rate technical support from Renault Trucks UK which ensured the optimum weight distribution for the Roadmaster Concrete Mixer bodies. The Kerax will undertake larger heavy duty applications, carrying up to 10 cubic metres of concrete, while the Landers' smaller body is ideal for tight access site supply around London and other urban areas. All bodywork is undertaken by sister company, Roadmaster Concrete Mixers Europe Ltd. Commenting on his decision to add six new Renault trucks to EasyMix Concrete's fleet, managing director Andrew Collins, says: "We're really impressed with the Renault trucks' chassis spec and the technical team at Renault Trucks UK, which has delivered the best results for mounting the Roadmaster body of all manufacturers so far. "The span of the Kerax is spot on, the cement bin sits well on the wheelbase in the centre of the fourth axle," contines Collins. "On site, the height of the chassis gives us excellent ground clearance and the 44t GVW offers 4t over some other marques, which is a real insurance policy if it rains all night and saturates the aggregate." The new 6x2 Landers are some of the first in the to be UK fitted with a midlift axle, making them wholly suitable for EasyMix's specialist vehicle applications.
