Renault Trucks selects Stephenson College

Renault Trucks UK has chosen Stephenson College, in Coalville, Leicestershire, to deliver its national apprenticeship programme, building on Volvo Trucks’ long-term arragnement.

In a review of its programme provider, Renault Trucks says it elected the college because of its state-of-the-art facilities and track record in working with employers to provide bespoke training.

Under the new arrangement, Stephenson College will be responsible for training up to 100 apprentices employed by Renault Trucks' distributors and repairers across the UK.

"Over the past three years we have worked hard to improve the apprenticeship programme to its current excellent level," comments Gino Costa, managing director of Renault Trucks UK.

"The transition to Stephenson College is the next step in driving our Renault Trucks brand forward."

Renault Trucks' competence development team will be working with existing apprentices to ensure their learning paths are not disrupted.

For new recruits, apprentice vacancies will be handled by Stephenson College, with college staff liaising with Renault Trucks dealers and the competence development team to ensure vacancies are filled with high calibre candidates.
