Renault is to showcase its 19-tonne Range D Wide CNG (compressed natural gas) rigid truck at the International Transport and Logistics trade show, at the Porte de Versailles centre in Paris (14—16 March 2017).
The truck, which features Renault’s horizontal exhaust and will be in transport operator STAF’s livery, will be on the French Natural Gas Vehicles Association (AFGNV) stand.
Renault Trucks says this vehicle – a The 6x2 with rear steer for manoeuvrability in urban environments – will be fitted with the new generation Euro 6c, 320bhp 8.9-litre engine.
The company also states that the addition of a horizontal exhaust model to its natural gas-powered truck range is a response to improving emissions in built-up areas.
CNG, it adds, already has the advantage of emitting virtually no particulate matter, smoke or odours – and without using AdBlue.
Renault’s Range D Wide CNG comes in two versions: a 19-tonne 4x2 and a 26-tonne 6x2 rigid truck.
