Thompsons eParts notches up £1m in sales

Bodybuilder Thompsons has announced that eParts – its web-based parts facility – has passed the £1 million barrier for sales.

eParts was launched three years ago and now offers more than 6,000 part lines for tipper operators, including the group’s Thompsons and Charlton brands as well as other makes of skiploaders and hookloaders.

Parts sales initially focused on smaller, purely tipper-related components, such as seals for hydraulic rams, pumps, PTOs and motors for sheets, but now the business supplies everything from bodyprops, wacker carriers and lighting accessories to crane components, camera systems and Hazchem spill kits.

In 2017, the eParts activity will be boosted further by the provision of 50% more warehousing and racking space at the Thompsons factory in Blackburn.

“eParts is yet another way in which Thompsons clearly demonstrates its leadership in the tipper industry,” says aftermarket services manager Dave Lees (pictured, right, with assistant Shaun Thompson). “Through eParts, operators get a superb service that also maximises their value for money.

“eParts is yet another way in which Thompsons shows that it is fully committed to supporting tipper operators throughout the working life of their trucks.”
