VW safety systems in action with Driving for Better Business

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has announced its backing for the Driving for Better Business (DBB) campaign, in association with Highways England and Roadsafe.

The van manufacturer became the first to fit autonomous emergency braking (AEB) systems in June as standard to all of its vans, which DBB campaign director Simon Turner describes as “a bold and industry-leading move”.

By backing the DBB campaign, VW Commercial Vehicles is able to demonstrate its crash avoidance systems in action at a number of events.

Two were held earlier in December and were fully subscribed, with delegates not only learning about the variety of systems available and experiencing advanced driver assistance systems in action, but also understanding the business case for these technologies and their impact on repair costs.

The next two events will be held on 20 and 21 March 2018 at Thatcham Research’s Upper Heyford Proving Ground, in Oxfordshire. Click the link below to reserve a place.

“Teaming up with Driving for Better Business gives us the opportunity to show fleet managers how the technology really works,” confirms Sarah Cox, head of marketing at VW Commercial Vehicles.
