Waste disposal contractor rates Hyva’s FC137 tipping cylinder

Tipping Gear
Inglenorth Contracting says the Hyva FC137 tipping cylinder is delivering on the promise made by the manufacturer, giving reliable service on waste disposal and recycling duties.

The Wigan-based operator took delivery of two DAF CF trucks fitted with Abba heavy-duty steel bodies and FC137 tipping cylinders last year. "They've been absolutely faultless," confirms Stuart Campbell, Inglenorth's general manager.

"The trucks have to turn their hand to any job whatsoever, with 90% of their time working on demolition, site clearance and muck shifting," he continues.

"In such an arduous environment, complete vehicle reliability is always our number one operating requirement."

Hyva launched the FC137 tipping cylinder in the UK three years ago, with its separate ram and tank design and average weight of 450kg.

The FC137's low weight and high performance provides tipper operators with "an unrivalled level of versatility", according to Hyva.

The company also claims that, unlike other lightweight tipping gears that have been scaled up from 26-tonne, 6x4 tipper designs, the FC137 has a genuine lift capacity of 32 tonnes, making it suitable for 8x4 applications.
