Hyva hookloaders fitted to MTS’ DAF rigid fleet

MTS Cleansing Services is introducing a brand new fleet of sixteen DAF 8x4 rigids fitted with top specification Hyva hookloaders.
A first-time customer for Hyva, the principal reasons for the environmental contractor choosing the Dutch-made hookloaders were speedy build, simplicity of operation, comprehensive service support, and outright value. Mounted on 360bhp DAF 8x4 CF chassis supplied through DAF main dealer Channel Commercials of Ashford, MTS's hookloader specification also includes the hydraulically controlled Hyva AutoSheet and PM Onboard's advanced TruckWeigh axle overload protection system. MTS' contracts director Steve Gilson says the new trucks are already delivering "very significant operating improvements and cost efficiencies. Individually, Hyva leads every area, so as a package it's simply unbeatable". The latest venture into large-scale handling of solid waste marks an important development in MTS's 'full service' capability, according to the company. Working on a major contract with Southern Water, the Hyva hookloaders are primarily employed on the movement of sewage cake between various sites in Kent, Sussex and Hampshire, as well as its ultimate delivery to farmland as fertilizer. "It's a project that we are all very excited about, which has significant potential for the future," confirms Gilson. "As such, we've made absolutely sure that the trucks working the contract are the most reliable, cost-effective and safest that we can devise."
