The role is to manage Thurrock Council's vehicle and plant fleet, including developing and implementing strategies. Our current fleet establishment comprises of 30 Refuse Collection vehicles as well as around 120 other vans trucks, sweepers, etc and c.200 items of smaller plant.
An essential part of your role would be to advise on appropriate vehicle and plant solutions. You will also provide the lead role in managing the department's stores function.
You will need to have managed a large multi-discipline fleet operation in the past and have gained a Certificate of Professional Competence in National Road Transport Operations.
