RGI Leisure wishes to appoint a Project and Technical Director to oversee the design, engineering, certification and production of the Salamander Amphibious Vehicle RGI Leisure is the holding company for Viking Splash Tours and Salamander Amphibious Vehicles.
Viking Splash Tours operates a successful Splash Tour visitor attraction of Dublin using World War II amphibious vehicles called DUKWs. Salamander Amphibious Vehicles is a company established to design, build, test and certify a new amphibious passenger carrying vehicle. The new amphibious vehicle will be used by RGI Leisure to replace and expand its existing vehicle fleet in Dublin and establish new Splash Tours in cities across Europe.
The Project andTechnical Director will be responsible for all technical aspects of running the Salamander Amphibious Vehicle business in Ireland.This is a unique opportunity to:
•Manage a selected team of international automotive and marine design companies
•Staff and manage a modern and well equipped fabrication facility
•Deliver a new state of the art passenger carrying amphibious vehicle which will define and set standards in this vehicle segment worldwide
•Be an integral part of a highly entrepreneurial team in building a pan European business
The successful candidateshould have the following attributes:
•Degree and experience in Mechanical, Automotive or Marine Engineering.
•Significant experience in all aspects of project management
•10 years experience in designing, developing and production/assembly of new vehicles (preferably commercial vehicles or public service vehicles)Remuneration: A competitive remuneration package will reflect the individual's experience and ability to ensure the success of the Salamander Amphibious Vehicle project.
