As part of our expansion plans, we are in the process of setting up a transport division, which will provide truck haulage services to major companies in Nigeria, West Africa.
We are recruiting for the position of a technical manager to set up the technical workshop for the transport division, which consists of a fleet of 55 trucks. The fleet size should increase in size to 150 trucks within two years.
Key Requirement
The preferred candidate should be an automobile or a mechanical engineer with a minimum of 15 years experience in technical workshop operations and fleet maintenance.
Previous experience in the maintenance of DAF CF 85 would be an added advantage.
The candidate should be member of a recognized transport or logistics professional body. They should also be able to establish internal procedures necessary to achieve timely and cost –effective procurement of spare parts.
The candidate must be able to interpret financial information. A strong understanding of the Health and Safety aspects of the road haulage industry is also required for the position.
Prior experience setting up a transport workshop department would be advantageous..
