We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to support our operations service in achieving efficiency and customer service targets. The successful applicant will oversee the Management of the Alperton central depot Transportation department, providing a full fleet solution service to Internal and external customers.
The role will include;
Managing a service schedule for 250 vehicles, ensuring fleet is maintained to the highest standard and ready for use. As Transport Manager you will have responsibility for three direct reports, this will also include day to day management, motivation and development of the wider team. You will be required to provide a full fleet solution to each customer whilst working to a stringent maintenance budget.
The successful candidate will possess previous Operational, transport, workshop experience. Ideally a proven track record of working experiences within private waste sector and or within local authority environment. CPC is a pre-requisite and IOSH is preferable. The candidate will also need to have experience in managing and maintaining a fleet of vehicles with an understanding and application of VOSA regulations.
