(Inclusive of high cost area supplement and a recruitment and retention payment plus unsocial hours as appropriate) • Managing a workshop at Hillingdon, Barnehurst and West Ham
About the role
Our workshops perform a vital and challenging role in supporting our ambulance fleet. This involves maintaining and repairing the specialist vehicles to the highest standards, whilst also ensuring maximum levels of availability at all times for the operational crews. The workshops provide seven-day cover, which can mean some early or late starts depending on the location and shift. The working week will be 37.5 hours by rota, over seven days with rotating rest days. You will also receive additional payments for any unsocial hours worked.
This is an exciting time to join the team as the operating model of our workshops is changing. Our future plans will involve larger workshops with excellent facilities, a specialist mobile support fleet, additional areas of work and greater cover for the Service.
