Texa launches next generation truck, van and bus diagnostics

Diagnostics specialist Texa has unveiled new interfaces and hardware for its truck, van, bus, coach, and construction and agricultural vehicle troubleshooting kit, designed for independent workshops.
Chief among these is Texa's new Navigator TX range, with its TXT featuring: Bluetooth, to eliminate cabling; increased memory, said speed up vehicle communication by 70%; and automatic switching between vehicle makes and models, without adapters. Texa UK managing director Dave Tempest states that the new units run with its latest IDC4 software for PCs and laptops. Features include the company's search function, which links to Texa's database of known problems and repair procedures worldwide, as well as an innovative 'frequent interventions' function, linking straight to the required vehicle systems. What about Pass-Thru (where the system links off to the relevant OEM)? Tempest says the J2534 connection is there, but warns that workshops may struggle, given broadband performance – and that they need to consider any implications for their independence. Other key Texa launches include miniaturised diagnostics, building on its OBD Log and OBD Matrix, with the new Naviagor Nano and Service for LCVs – with everything except Pass-Thru. And there is an extension of Texa's aircon equipment, in the form of Konfort 770S, aimed at workshops and bodyshops dealing with the new refrigerant and needing to concern themselves about contamination. Meanwhile, watch out for another innovation, due for launch at the CV Show next year. Tempest is coy about Axone 4, but think ruggedised iPad and yet more functionality.
